Ross Tagaras is an emerging shredder molding himself in
the likes of Rusty Cooley, Jason Becker, Tosin Abasi and
Jeff Loomis.
Ross embarked on his love of
the electric guitar at the age of 11 when he began
tutelage under well-known Houston instructor Darrell
Bowles. After years of instruction under Darrell,
Ross became a student of the extraordinary Lion
Music and Replica Records recording artist Rusty
Cooley, named the 7th fastest shredder of all time
by Guitar One magazine. Ross moved to the Dallas
area in 2009 and continues his studies under
Shrapnel recording artist Scott Stine.
Scott is a pioneer in the use
of 7 and 8 string guitars and has influenced other
well-known shredders, including Rusty Cooley. Ross
has also taken lessons from Tosin Abasi during his
recent Animals as Leaders tour.
Ross has performed solo guitar
in contests and talent shows, and has played live in
the Houston and Dallas areas. Ross is currently
recording original instrumental songs.
